About Larchmont's Best

Who writes it
Most posts are written by James McNamara, who grew up on LA's Westside and lives a few miles from the boulevard. We write about places we've actually been, with the specific dish, the parking situation and the details you'd want before you go.
How we choose what to cover
Larchmont shops, restaurants and services come first. We also cover things a short drive away, like Museum Row and Hollywood's small theaters, when they make for a good outing from Larchmont. Neighborhood stories cover the changes people here talk about: housing, transit and what's opening or closing.
